Barcelona right back Dani Alves has publicly expressed his desire to see Brazilian international teammate Thiago Silva in the Blaugrana shirt in the new season. Speaking about the potential arrival of the Paris Saint Germain player to the Camp Nou, Alves stated that the Brazilian skipper would be arriving at the best football club in the world if he were to make the switch from Ligue 1 to La Liga.

The former Sevilla man stated that he is keen for the squad to be strengthened over the summer, especially in defense, considering the number of competitions the club will be involved in the new season. Dani Alves has already seen one of his Brazilian international team mates arrive at the club in the summer with the € 57 million signing of Neymar and he would welcome the arrival of another fellow winner of the recently concluded FIFA Confederations Cup in Thiago Silva, who has himself stated that a move to the Catalan giants intrigues him a lot.

The trio of players oversaw Brazil’s 3-0 triumph against Spain in the final of the Confederations Cup in Rio and if Silva does make the switch to La Liga, he would be playing alongside and against many of the players that his side so comprehensively beat. Speaking to a radio station, Alves stated that if Thiago Silva were to choose La Liga over Ligue 1 and move to Barcelona, he would be coming to the best club in the world at this moment and it would be great for his career as well.

He went on state that he has also described the club to Thiago Silva and gave him an idea about all the advantages he would have at the club. It seems Dani Alves is eager to tap Thiago Silva to Barcelona.
