ALVES UNHAPPY WITH RUMOURS

The Barcelona right back Dani Alves has criticised the supporting staff at the Catalan club for bringing up rumours regarding his future. The 28-year-old former Sevilla right back was one of the first signings of the Guardiola era.

He has been instrumental in helping Barcelona lifted the 14 trophies they have acquired the last four seasons. However, there have been recent rumours that Dani Alves could be interested in a new challenge, with many Russian clubs keen on signing him. The Brazilian international has been having a niggling injury prior to the start of the pre-season, but he has revealed that he is fit and ready to start the pre-season.

He has also dismissed the rumours linking him with a move away from Barcelona. Dani Alves has also been one of the crucial aspects of Lionel Messi's success at the club level. He has now confirmed that he does not want to leave the club, but intends to remain at the club until the end of this current contract. He has also said that he is not extremely happy with the way his future has been dealt with the media on the basis of rumours from the club's officials.

"There has been plenty of rumours that may not continue, it bothered me not to leave the club to defend all this, yet I understood, because the club look after their interests rather than the player. Fortunately for our work, we have to show our worth every day. If I have to go somewhere I would not go with the feeling that the team did not has achieved all the objectives. When you win we are all very good and when you lose not so much. I'm used to that. Try to earn the trust of those I've lost," said Dani Alves.
